A Comparative Study on Personality Characteristics of Rural and Urban Adolescents of District Anantnag and Srinagar (J&K), India

In the present study an attempt has been made to compare rural and urban adolescents on personality characteristics. For this purpose a sample of 120 adolescents (60 rural and 60 urban) from various higher secondary schools of district Anantnag and Srinagar were selected randomly. The tool used for collecting data was R.B. Cattle’s Questionnaire (HSPQ). The main findings of the study revealed that there is significant difference between rural and urban adolescents on personality characteristics. It further revealed that the male adolescents have higher personality characteristics than female adolescents.
